Straight From The Ol’ Hippies Themselves!
Jerry Eicher and Randy Shaffer
As the Cold Ass winter went on it was hard for Randy to take the cold with his MS. Besides we weren't making any money on the show, it's more fame then fortune, so as I was looking for a replacement. I thought about my long lost and found cousin Brad Long.
Brad is a great Mandolin player. I'm sure he is going to go down as one of the top mandolin players in our area. We figured out we were related 30 years after we played music together. His girlfriend’s sister married my 1st cousin Kevin King. His wife had passed away and he met Tony's sister. They went on to get married. Turned out they got to talking about music and Kevin said "I have a cousin who played music for Roy Clark”, Brad says “Hmm.. my mom said I had a cousin who played for Roy Clark. Hmm..” Turns out my Grandmother and his Grandfather were brother and sister!
So I asked Brad if he wanted to be in Radio and he said he would give it a shot. He also is finding it's more fame then fortune, Sorry Brad! So we are having a great time doing episodes of The Ol Hippie Bluegrass Show! Are faithful companion Gulliver passed away this year, but we are going on 5 years now! Thank You Listeners and Artist for making and listening to MUSIC !
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC !
Thanks,
Jerry
